( A very brief tour by Simon Cahill) West Oxon MAG has been in existence since approximately 1988, the venue for the meetings having always been in the Witney area. I could bore you with a full history (but I won’t) as I have been with the group pretty much all the way since 1989. We have a small but consistent turnout for weekly meets often discussing current bike related issues and organizing events for fundraising, or raising the profile of important issues and of MAG itself. We also have a good social scene and get out to various other local meets, events and rallies. Oh yes, and sometimes we just have a beer together! Our members ride all kinds of bikes vintage, classic and modern, in a variety of styles and makes, so there’s something for everyone. We are a friendly sociable bunch with a couple of things in common….riding bikes and a passion to protect our wish to do so. We are looking forward to our rally, No Room at the Inn, which is 20th & 21st May and our Bike Show on the 18th September. Look under events for more details and other events. Even if you are not a member and want to see what it’s all about or are just stuck for anything to do of a Tuesday evening, pop down to the New Inn, Corn St, Witney OX28 6AU. We generally arrive at about 8:30pm and start meetings at 9:00pm.
